Call for Projects: Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) (11-12 May 2026) (Deadline: 9 March 2026, Monday)

Overview:

The 6th Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) themed “Fuelling Healthcare Breakthroughs” jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place on 11-12 May 2026.

Location:          Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)

The Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council is a one-stop cross-disciplinary platform that will bring together all stakeholders – from policymakers to healthcare experts to renowned academia and influential business leaders, together with key industry players, innovative start-ups, and investors from around the world to exchange insights, explore opportunities and collaborate on the diverse and dynamic healthcare sector. Project pitching and deal-making meetings will also be organised to facilitate business discussions and investment partnerships. InnoHealth Showcase, a dedicated exhibition area featuring global healthcare projects and technologies will be staged alongside the Summit.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) will exhibit 10 teams to promote our innovations on related disciplines. If you would like to showcase your innovations or seek research collaborations at this event, please contact us by 9 March 2026.

Eligibility of Teams:

  • MedTech, Biotech and HealthTech related start-ups with CUHK technologies
  • The Person-In-Charge (PIC) MUST BE full-time staff at CUHK holding positions within the professoriate or research academic ranks.
  • Preference will be given to CUHK teams with current TSSSU-O or TSSSU+ schemes 

Application Details:

Step 1 Complete the online application form for KTO vetting*Online Application Form Submission Deadline:9 March 2026, Monday
Step 2 Interview and vetting Mid – Late March 2026
Step 3 Confirmation email will be sent to shortlisted applicant teams Late March 2026

*Teams may be invited for interview prior to being shortlisted.

Assessment Criteria:

  1. Innovation and technology content of the business
  2. Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
  3. Commercial viability of the business
  4. Team expertise and commitment
  5. Benefits brought to the public or specific community group(s)

 Important notes:

  • KTO will cover the costs of registration, booth and entry passes.
  • Local transportation and logistics will not be provided.
  • Project teams are mandatory to participate in the entire event physically.
  • Additional works on poster development and event preparation will be needed prior to physical presentation at HKCEC in May 2026.
  • The final selection of teams will be subject to an internal review by the KTO vetting committee and acceptance by the ASGH organizer
  • All applications should be submitted to Knowledge Transfer Events Management Team, Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO). If no record of information submission is received, KTO reserves the right to exclude the project from the CUHK pavilion and promotional activities.
