Event Highlight | CUHK wins 22 awards at the 11th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (31 May 2025)

The award ceremony for 11th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held at the Hong Kong Science Park on 31 May 2025. This year, a record number of 687 projects from 25 tertiary institutions participated in the competition.

Students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) performed remarkably at the competition, winning both grand prizes in the Innovation category and the Entrepreneurship category, as well as 19 other awards, including: three first prizes, five second prizes, five third prizes and one merit prize in the Innovation category; and one first prize, two second prizes, one third prize and one merit prize in the Entrepreneurship category. In addition, CUHK was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award for the outstanding achievements.

The Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is organised annually by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association. Winning projects will represent Hong Kong SAR to participate in national competitions, including the “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest, the “Challenge Cup” China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition, and China International College Students’ Innovation Competition. This year, winning projects will also have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong and their respective institutions at international competitions and exhibitions.
