The Prize Presentation Ceremony of the Professor Charles K. Kao Student Creativity Awards (PCKKSCA) 2025 was held on 23 July 2025, in recognition of the exceptional qualities of the innovations by the award-winning students. Professor Dennis LO Yuk-ming, CUHK’s Vice-Chancellor and President, officiated at the ceremony and expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the winners.

The Professor Charles K. Kao Student Creativity Awards (PCKKSCA) is a biennial competition co-organised by the Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services (ORKTS) (Presently known as Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO)) and the Center for Entrepreneurship (CfE). It promotes a culture of innovation amongst all CUHK students and selects innovative student projects to represent CUHK in regional, national and international competitions. This year, a total of 66 entries were received from six different faculties, namely Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Medicine and Science.

A distinguished panel of judges were cordially invited to assess the entries, chaired by Professor Benny ZEE (Director of KTO). Other members of the Judging Panel include: Professor CHEN Benmei (Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering), Professor KIM Keongtae (Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology), Professor NGAI To (Department of Chemistry), Professor REN Hongliang (Department of Electronic Engineering), and Professor REN Wei (Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering).

Following two rounds of intense competition, which concluded successfully on 23 July 2025, a total of eleven entries were selected for awards in recognition of their outstanding innovations. A huge congratulation to all the awardees and their supervisors!
