Rookie Fund is a student-run venture capital fund that invests in the best student startups across Asia.

Our investment criteria are that:
1) One of the founders with at least 10% equity in a startup, who is currently in school or has graduated within the last 5 years
2) The startup’s product is tech-related with at least a minimum viable product showcase

Rookie Fund’s investment team is comprised of university students coming from diverse backgrounds. We are determined to support young founders as they navigate the difficult path of fundraising.

We adopt the Silicon Valley practice and can invest with convertible notes. We provide student founders an opportunity to pitch a group of investors similar in age and have a chance to raise friendly capital with a simple fundraising process. Rookie Fund provides connections to international startup mentors, industry partners, and media exposure - we hope to accompany you in the journey to success!

Selected candidates will be arranged to attend a few rounds of simple interviews. Accepted candidates are required to attend a series of bootcamps from late September during weekends or evenings. Early applicants will have the privilege to join interviews and get accepted before the final application deadline. So, you are advised to submit the application form as early as possible!

Early application deadline: August 15, 2020

Mid application deadline: August 30, 2020 (rolling basis)

Late application deadline: September 15, 2020 (or earlier when we have a decent team size)

Final application deadline: September 20, 2020 (special extension for non business students, freshmen & sophomores, CityU, HKBU, LingU, EdUHK, and Cyberport student members such as from CUPP FinTech program and interns / founders of Cyberport startups)
