Event Highlight | CUHK InnoPort X CUHK Summer Institute – From Students to Startups: A Generational Dialogue on Innovation (21 Jul 2025)

CUHK InnoPort hosted an entrepreneurship workshop collaborated with Office of Academic Links (OAL) at the Summer Institute (SI) program, which is designed for local and international high school students, providing valuable insights into future studies at CUHK.

A full house of local and international high school students, startup affiliates, and interns enthusiastically participated in the engaging event on Monday, July 21, 2025. InnoPort invited esteemed InnoPeers to share their entrepreneurial journeys, including Mr. Jason Or, founder of SmartAge Intelligence, and Mr. Leo Chan, co-founder of FACCi. Both founders delivered very inspiring words that motivated the participants, encouraging them to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with passion and resilience.

Following the storytelling sessions, a lively networking session catalyzed engaging exchanges between students and founders, showcasing students’ entrepreneurship enthusiasm. Students shared innovative ideas, while founders offered wholehearted support. The event concluded with reflective student insights and inspirational messages.

This collaboration provided a glimpse into Knowledge Transfer within the university setting, enhancing the overall experience of the event. The impact resonated deeply with participants, offering them an inspiring look at potential academic paths and practical insights into the startup ecosystem. It also provided the startups with a platform to showcase their innovations, fostering connections and potential collaborations with the next generation of aspiring entrepreneurs.
