Join us for the Funder Insights Webinar Series, where CUHK academics can explore the impact philosophies and funding approaches of leading foundations to drive systemic social change. you will gain invaluable tips on securing funding for your impact projects, tackling critical social issues through your research outcomes with funders.
In the upcoming webinar on 30 July 2025 (Wednesday), Ms Cecilia Ho, President of Lee Hysan Foundation, will share the Foundation’s mission, core funding priorities, and its approach to assessing social impact. Participants will gain insights into successful partnerships with academia and cross-sector collaborators, and learn how to design projects that are both impactful and scalable from a funder’s perspective. The session will also offer practical advice for academics seeking to engage foundations in driving systemic and sustainable change.

Ms Cecilia Ho
President, Lee Hysan Foundation
Cecilia is the President of Lee Hysan Foundation. She is a member of the Security Bureau’s Fight Crime Committee, an advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation, and a member of HKCSS’s Strategy Committee on Co-Creation. She also serves on advisory committees at HKU’s Department of Social Work and Social Administration and HKAPA’s School of Drama.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Cecilia had a distinguished career spanning over three decades in globally renowned financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Standard Chartered Bank. She earned her BBA with honors from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and was presented the Hall of Honor by the University’s College of Business in 2010. She was awarded the Honorary University Fellowship by HKU in 2019 and the University Fellowship by PolyU in 2024.
