"I am extremely grateful for the Student Ambassador Program established by CUHK's Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services. The completion of each issue of Cubic Zine is the result of joint efforts between CUHK social innovators, the ORKTS team, and us ambassadors. The co-creation process is truly wonderful – we listen to social innovation stories from different perspectives and present them to readers. CUHK's support for social innovation is not only reflected in funding, but also includes the hardware and software support from InnoPort, all of which have created one story after another in the book and encouraged more CUHK members to understand and join social innovation. From the stories in the book, I see flames of passion – the enthusiasm of social innovators merging with the dedication of ORKTS, blooming into social innovation epics throughout the campus. The colleagues at InnoPort are all super nice, supportive, full of ideas, and willing to give students opportunities. This year, I participated in the creation of Cubic Zine, interviewed professors alongside the editor-in-chief, and listened to their knowledge transfer stories. I also stepped onto CUHK's stage for the first time, discussing entrepreneurship with other 'cultural industry leaders.' Regardless of academic background, as long as you are willing to come, the Inno-ambassador program can bring you exciting, fulfilling, and rewarding experiences."

」 "Joining the Student Ambassador Program for the past six months has been incredibly rewarding. Each time I participate in Cubic Zine interviews, it's not just about documenting stories, but truly understanding the essence of social innovation. I used to think 'innovation' required grand visions, but now I realize that real change often begins with awareness of subtle social problems and down-to-earth action. CUHK's social innovation ecosystem has left a deep impression on me. ORKTS not only provides funding and hardware support from InnoPort, but also breaks down resource barriers through interdisciplinary collaboration. Whether it's professors providing professional guidance to startup teams or alumni networks facilitating partnerships, these 'invisible supports' are the key to social innovation projects taking root. As a student, I've been fortunate to serve as a bridge connecting campus and society. When organizing interviews, I'm often moved by entrepreneurs' simple yet steadfast persistence. This precious experience has been like fieldwork practice. I've learned to view innovation from a more grounded perspective and realized that society needs not only creativity, but also the patience and resilience to transform creativity into reality."

"Since March 2024, I became a member of the Inno-Ambassador program, responsible for the daily operations of InnoPort's official Xiaohongshu (RED) account. This not only gave me the opportunity to participate in the planning and execution of on-site events, but also allowed me to gain valuable hands-on experience in social media operations. During these months of work, I collaborated closely with other Inno-Ambassadors and department colleagues, dedicating ourselves to planning and publishing innovative entrepreneurial content that attracts user attention. We made full use of the Xiaohongshu platform, experimenting with various media formats including image-text posts and videos. I feel honored to work with a group of energetic and passionate colleagues. Through my collaboration with InnoPort, I not only made new friends but was also deeply moved by the hard work and fighting spirit of entrepreneurs. This experience has undoubtedly been an extremely important gain for me!"

」  "I served as an Inno-Ambassador at InnoPort for one year, primarily responsible for video production work. In addition to participating in Cubic Zine video filming and editing, I also worked on producing event highlights, street interviews, and informational videos. Collaborating with professors from different CUHK disciplines and various ORKTS teams broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer development. The InnoPort team provided me with diverse opportunities to plan, film, and edit different types of videos, and even allowed me to participate in production meetings firsthand. Just like entrepreneurial pitching, I had the chance to personally pitch video outlines to collaborative teams, giving me invaluable hands-on experience! We adopted a first-person perspective to closely listen to multiple teams' journeys of transforming academic research into concrete social action. Throughout this process, I not only felt CUHK's support for social innovation but also realized the impact of breaking through conventional thinking frameworks. Different fields of knowledge converged under the camera lens, showcasing possibilities that transcend traditional research. The interviewed CUHK social innovation teams engaged in cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together diverse professional backgrounds and knowledge. When facing social problems, they were no longer confined to a single disciplinary perspective but analyzed from multiple dimensions to collectively seek innovative solutions. Just like the social innovation teams, the InnoPort team broke away from traditional models by establishing the Inno-Ambassador program, allowing CUHK students to participate in Cubic Zine production and advocating for intergenerational collaboration. Students from different academic fields also had opportunities to showcase their strengths, sparking inspiration through the collision of ideas and presenting richer stories in 'Academics Creating Social Impact 2.0'."

」 "Having joined InnoPort for over half a year, through the production of Cubic Zine, I've gotten to know different professors at different times who have started research projects and social enterprise developments in various fields. Yet they all share the same belief: contributing to society, which makes me eager to document their stories through video. Their 'trial and error' spirit also influences us, allowing us to continuously try new ways and methods to present different CUHK entrepreneurial stories at this place. During this year at InnoPort, we have authentically documented through words and images how professors transfer their professional knowledge for social applications, while we also transfer professors' experiences in establishing social innovations into different social stories. We present the spirit of innovation and social responsibility from different perspectives, showing how professors quietly integrate their professional wisdom into social practice beyond the classroom, facilitating the flow of knowledge into real life. This understated yet continuous humanistic care perhaps quietly influences us as well. It doesn't have to be us who are responsible for sowing seeds for others, and small figures don't necessarily have to do big things. But it's precisely because these small figures quietly stick to their duties that every seed has the chance to sprout."

」 The most unforgettable experience of my internship was definitely assisting with the interview of Professor Rosanna Lo. That interview truly opened my eyes—I really enjoyed listening to her share her experiences as a nurse and how those experiences inspired her to help patients with hand spasticity, using hand massage and virtual reality (VR) to improve their lives. The entire interview lasted two hours and introduced me to a topic that is both niche and important, which greatly sparked my interest. As a secondary school student, I even had the chance to ask my own questions. I was truly happy to be part of this experience.
