Event Highlight | 2nd “Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference” and 2nd “Xiangjiang Nobel Forum” 2025 (13 – 16 April 2025)

The 2nd “Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference” and 2nd “Xiangjiang Nobel Forum” 2025 was organised in parallel to the Business of Innovation and Technology Week from 13 – 16 April 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, following the success of the inaugural events last year. The 2025 edition of the conference was organised by the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Beijing Universities (HKAABU), co-organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Chinese Institute of electronics, and Beijing Overseas Friendship Association. This year, nearly 1,000 people attended the opening ceremony, including seven Nobel laureates and Turing Award recipients, as well as over 90 academicians and world-leading scientists from home and abroad.
The conference brought together Nobel laureates, Turing Award recipients and renowned academicians and scientists from around the world to share insights on frontier topics in the realms of big data, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and novel materials. A diverse range of activities aimed at driving the development through gathering global cutting-edge scienfic research and technological innovation, and to empower Hong Kong to tranform into a platform for global top talents and into an international hub for high-tech innovations.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong showcased four projects at the “Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macao Innovation and Technology Achievement Exhibition” organised by HKAABU over the period of the conference.
